I believe the same strategic discipline organizations use to shape their future can help individuals do the same.
For more than 30 years, I’ve guided organizations through growth, reinvention, succession, and transformation as a CEO, COO, CFO, founder, board member, and strategic advisor. That experience led to a simple realization: while organizations intentionally design their future, most people never do.
I created Future by You™ to change that. Blending executive strategy, behavioral science, and a deep curiosity about human potential, I help accomplished professionals intentionally design and begin living their next chapter with greater clarity, confidence, and purpose.
I’m also the co-author, with Dr. Marshall Goldsmith, of Permanence: Become the Person You Want to Be and Stay That Way, reflecting my dedication to helping others create meaningful, lasting change in their lives.
After decades of helping organizations navigate change, I realized something surprising. Companies invest enormous time deciding what they want to become and positioning themselves for the future. Individuals rarely do.
That matters even more in the emerging AI asset economy. As technology changes how value is created, the people best positioned for the future will increasingly be those who understand, develop, and own assets that can grow in value.
And everyone has one asset they can develop: the value of who they are, what they know, what they’ve accomplished, and what they can uniquely contribute.
Future by You™ was created to help people develop that asset intentionally. We start with the future you actually want, work backward to determine who you need to become, and then translate that clarity into your positioning, professional identity, personal brand assets, and a practical plan for getting there.
The goal isn’t to manufacture a personal brand. It’s to make the value you’ve spent a lifetime building more visible, more portable, and more aligned with the future you actually want.
My work sits at the intersection of strategy, behavioral science, leadership, psychology, identity, and human potential. I've spent my career helping organizations navigate change, but over time I became equally fascinated by how individuals create meaningful change in their own lives.
I don't separate professional success from personal fulfillment because life doesn't. The future we create professionally should support the life we want personally.
Outside of my work, I'm endlessly curious about how people grow. I read widely across neuroscience, psychology, philosophy, leadership, and emerging technology. I'm optimistic about AI's ability to transform how we work, while believing that our humanity, our values, relationships, and purpose, will always matter most.
Maybe more than anything, I'm driven by questions. Why do some people reinvent themselves while others stay stuck? How does identity shape our future? What becomes possible when we apply the same intentionality to designing a life that organizations apply to designing a business?
This isn’t another coaching program.
It’s a system for developing and positioning one of the most valuable assets you already own: you.
I’ll help you define the future you want, identify the value you can bring to it, and turn that into tangible personal brand assets built around who you genuinely want to become.
You leave with a professionally designed future, a stronger and more portable personal asset, and the materials and roadmap to begin putting it to work today.
You’ll be given a step-by-step roadmap of where you see yourself in one year, two years and three years across the major domains of life:
Based on:
You’ll get a probabilistic forecast of next 12 months which includes:

Either way, transformation does not occur because of insight.
Transformation occurs because of repeated behavior.
This final phase installs the mechanisms required to sustain change.

This ensures that your future self becomes your permanent self.
